We at Lingo Lunch are a bunch of translators with a love of food, drink, linguistics, writing, travelling, and talking. We come from all over europe and have many exciting, varied experiences with Europe’s culinary cultures and are always dreaming of our next expedition to a far-flung land in search of the next delicious meal. We regularly meet for dinner parties where we share our newly-mastered recipes with salivating stomachs and travellers tales with hungry ears, and now we would like to share our expertise with the world. Think of us as a self-service delicatessen or world wide web sandwich bar.
We all live in the exotic world of Wimbledon, West London. The site is fresh and under constant development – we are just starting out on this particular journey but hope that our abilities to succeed in foreign climes can translate to success in our online presence.
We know you all love telling your tales as well so why not send us an article? Or would you like to feature one of our articles on your blog? Or do you just have a question? During my first few years living in the Netherlands I did extensive research of Apple Pie and Thin Savoury Pancakes. For nostalgic as well as for their sheer deliciousness these are still my favourite local delicacies. When it comes to home coking I really like to use the best seasonal ingredients I can find and create as I go.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. And, yes, I might have something food-wise to add. I’m an American. My dad was a chef, so I have some regional recipes that are distinctively American and my dad assured I am not ashamed of “American” cuisine like so many “foodies” here are. I’m also an Alaskan, which has some unique cuisine based on game meats and fish, often with influences from other cultures.
